Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of im-not.ai ("the Service"). By registering or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Article 1 — Purpose

im-not.ai compares your profile photo with a live face check to confirm whether the person in the photo actually verified, and creates a public human-verified profile. This Service is not a government-ID identity verification service; it provides verification results based on the moment of verification.

Article 2 — Eligibility

• Only individuals aged 14 or older may register and use the Service.
• You must register with an email address you own.
• Using another person's photo or personal information to register or verify is strictly prohibited.

Article 3 — Account Creation and Management

• You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately if your account is accessed without authorization.
• One account per person is required.

Article 4 — Face Verification and Profile Photo

• Your profile photo must clearly show your own face.
• Photos of other people, AI-generated images, illustrations, or characters may not be used as the reference image.
• The live face check must be performed by you in person.
• Using recorded video, photos, or screens to attempt verification is prohibited; accounts found to do so may be suspended immediately.

Article 5 — Public Profile and Content

• Social links and bio you add must be content you own or created.
• Your public URL ID must not impersonate others or cause confusion.
• We reserve the right to remove inappropriate content or suspend accounts.

Article 6 — Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Use another person's photo as your profile photo
• Technically circumvent or manipulate the verification system
• Scrape or collect information from the Service without authorization
• Register false information or impersonate others
• Collect or use other users' personal information without authorization
• Take any action that disrupts the normal operation of the Service

Article 7 — Impersonation Reports

• You may report an account suspected of impersonation or photo theft through the report button on the public profile.
• When a report is received, we notify the verified user.
• We do not automatically conclude that a reported account is an impersonator; we conduct a separate review.
• False reports may result in sanctions on your account.

Article 8 — Service Interruptions

• The Service may be temporarily suspended for maintenance, technical issues, or force majeure.
• Accounts that violate these Terms may be suspended or deleted without prior notice.
• We may discontinue the Service after advance notice, providing users an opportunity to delete their data.

Article 9 — Disclaimers

• Verification results reflect the state at the time of verification and do not constitute legal identity proof.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the social links and bio you add.
• We are not responsible for disputes arising from transactions, collaborations, or dates facilitated through the Service.

Article 10 — Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will notify you at least 7 days before the changes take effect via service announcements or email. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may stop using the Service and delete your account.

Article 11 — Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
